Ingredients
- ½ cup dried tapioca pearls
- 4 cups water for cooking pearls
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cups water for tea
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cup milk
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
- Add tapioca pearls and stir immediately to prevent sticking.
- Cook pearls until fully chewy according to package directions.
- Drain pearls and stir with brown sugar while warm.
- Boil 2 cups of water and steep black tea bags for 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.
- Divide tapioca pearls between two glasses.
- Add ice cubes.
- Pour tea over ice.
- Add milk, stir gently, and serve with a wide straw.
