Homemade Taco Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water to a medium saucepan.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar and sugar until combined.
- Add the chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Whisk everything together until smooth.
- Place the saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat once the sauce slightly thickens.
- Allow the taco sauce to cool for 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a glass jar or airtight container.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
