Easy Halloween Spider Apples
These Easy Halloween Spider Apples are a fun and spooky Halloween treat made with fresh apples, creamy peanut butter, rich dark chocolate, crunchy pretzel sticks, and adorable icing eyes. Perfect for Halloween parties, kids, and festive autumn celebrations!

- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Heatproof bowl
- Microwave or double boiler
- Spoon
- Parchment paper
- Baking tray
- Small bowl (for icing)
Ingredients
- 3 medium apples
- 100 g peanut butter
- 36 pretzel sticks
- 250 g dark chocolate chopped
- White ready-to-roll icing
- Black writing icing
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut each apple into two halves and remove the seeds.
- Spread a thin layer of peanut butter over each apple half.
- Break the pretzel sticks into suitable lengths for the spider legs.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave using short intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip or coat each apple half with melted chocolate.
- While the chocolate is still soft, insert six pretzel sticks into each apple half, three on each side.
- Roll small pieces of white icing into balls and gently flatten them to make the eyes.
- Attach two icing eyes to each spider using a little melted chocolate.
- Add small black pupils using black writing icing.
- Place the spider apples on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 20 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set. Serve chilled and enjoy!
