Soft, chewy, and perfectly spooky — these Easy Halloween Cookies combine rich black cocoa with festive M&Ms, sprinkles, and candy eyeballs. A fun, fast, and foolproof treat that’s ready in under 30 minutes.
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Mix in egg yolks and vanilla until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in Halloween M&Ms and sprinkles.
Cover the dough and chill for 30 minutes to prevent spreading and deepen flavor. (Optional)
Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls, place on baking sheets about 2 inches apart, and bake for 9–11 minutes. Cookies should look slightly underbaked in the center.
While still warm, gently press candy eyeballs into the tops for a spooky effect.
Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
