Lay 1 wrapper like a diamond (one corner facing you), Place half a slice of cheddar cheese in the center. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture on top. Fold the bottom corner over the filling. Fold in the side corners tightly. Roll toward the top corner to seal.
Brush edges with beaten egg to secure, Add a second layer of egg wash along the seam for extra hold.
Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (180°C). Test with a small wrapper piece, if it sizzles, it’s ready.
Place rolls seam-side down in oil. Fry 3-4 minutes, turning until golden brown, transfer to paper towels to drain.
Let them cool briefly, they’ll be extremely hot inside. Serve with ketchup, mustard, burger sauce, or spicy mayo.
