Instructions
Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
Add Eggs & Vanilla: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Combine & Chill: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Fold in mini chocolate chips if using. Cover and chill the dough for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
Preheat Oven & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
Shape & Roll: Scoop 1.5 tbsp of chilled dough, roll into balls, then roll each in sprinkles or powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart.
Bake & Press Kiss: Bake for 9-10 minutes. Immediately press one Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
