- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip the mushrooms in the egg mixture, then dredge them in the seasoned flour to coat.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry mushrooms in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Transfer fried mushrooms to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the dip ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Serve the crispy mushrooms warm with the ranch dip on the side.
